How To Cook Meat
There are different methods for cooking meat. You can roast tender cuts of meat on the stove top instead of in the oven. Preheat a heavy frying pan or skillet over medium heat. If drops of water splashed on the surface of the pan bead, the pan is hot enough to cook meat. Start by browning the meat on both sides. Do not add any liquid to the pan unless a recipe specifically calls for it.

Pan-broiling is another method of cooking meat, particularly steaks, chops, and cutlets. Again add meat to a preheated skillet and cook on each side until brown. Cover and cook until the meat sizzles before turning the heat down to low. Cook meat for another 5 to 10 minutes until done. Steaks should be cooked on medium heat rather than on low.
